On August 1st, 2023, The CCCC was launched by

Sammy Strent, a current student of music composition and choral music at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Motivated by the goal of building a community of collegiate choral composers from across the world, and inspired by the music of his peers, Sammy created the platform to connect composers to each other through an online platform that could be accessible to everyone.

To get the platform started, Sammy reached out to some collegiate choral composers who he knew through school and other music festivals/programs. These composers helped launch the platform into its official release date of August 1st. Additionally, Sammy reached out to his close friend and talented graphic designer, Max Baldwin, to create the logo of The CCCC.
